This European standard specifies the safety and performance characteristics of domestic water heaters for use on a stove, stove or hops and applies to all kettles, regardless of material or method of manufacture.
This standard does not apply to electric kettles. The kettle will be stable when empty and also when filled to capacity and positioned on a plane inclined by 5° with the center of gravity in the least favorable position.
All components must be smooth and free of burrs, splinters or sharp edges. The hull shall be waterproof to the boiling point. All these tests are not intended to be done in sequence. Unless otherwise stated, each test is valid on its own.
