BS 6319-7 Testing Resin Compositions for Use in Construction Part 7: Method of Measuring Tensile Strength

EUROLAB, with its state-of-the-art accredited laboratories and expert team, provides precise and fast testing services within the scope of BS 6319-7 testing. This section of BS 6319 describes a method for measuring the tensile strength of resin-based mortars and concrete poured as dumbbell-shaped briquette test specimens.

BS 6319-7 Testing Resin Compositions for Use in Construction Part 7: Method of Measuring Tensile Strength

This method is not applicable to unfilled systems or materials with fibrous components, or materials containing a filler that will not pass through a 410 mm test sieve as specified in BS 3,35.

The principle of the test is that test specimens with a defined geometry are subjected to a tensile force until rupture of the specimen occurs. To determine the tensile strength, the measurement of tensile stress is made.

Preparation of dumbbell briquette test specimens, including conditioning, proportioning and mixing of materials and conditioning and filling of the mold, shall comply with BS 6319-1. When sampled to BS 812-102, the filler must pass through a 410 mm sieve as specified in BS 3,35.
