DIN EN 13501-1 Fire Classification of Building Materials and Structural Elements, Part 1: Reaction to Fire Test Standard

EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of DIN EN 13501-1 standard. This part of DIN EN 13501 provides the reaction to fire classification procedure for all building products, including products included in building elements, except for power, control and communication cables within the scope of EN 13501-6. Products are evaluated according to their end-use applications.

This standard applies to the categories of building products, floors and linear pipe thermal insulation products, excluding floors and linear pipe thermal insulation products, which are discussed separately in this document.

Construction products are classified according to harmonized test methods on A1, A2, B, C, D, E and F Euroclasses. Products classified in a particular class are considered to meet all requirements of any subclass.

Products classified in classes A1 and A2 are non-flammable (cement, concrete, minerals, glass, fiberglass, rock wool, ceramics, etc.), certified materials from B to F can burn in ascending order. Flooring materials are classified according to A1, A2, B, C, D, E and F classes, followed by the abbreviation of “fl” flooring.
