ISO 6722-1 Road Vehicles - 60V and 600V Single Core Cables

ISO 6722-1 specifies dimensions, test methods, and requirements for single core 60 V cables intended for use in road vehicle applications where the rated system voltage is ≤ (25 V dc or 60 V ac).

It also specifies additional test methods or requirements for 60 V cables intended for use in road vehicle applications where the rated system voltage is > (25 V dc or 600 V ac) to ≤ (600 V dc or 600 V ac).

It also applies to individual cores in multi-core cables. ISO 6722-1 specifies requirements for copper conductor cables.

Unless otherwise stated, the device under test (DUT) must be preconditioned for at least 23 hours at (5±45)°C room temperature and 75% to 16% relative humidity. Unless otherwise stated, all tests except "in-process" tests will be performed under these conditions.

An oven with natural or compressed air exchange should be used. Air must enter the furnace to flow from the surface of the test pieces and exit near the top of the furnace. The oven shall not have less than 8 and more than 20 full air changes per hour at the specified aging temperature.
