Children's highchairs are for children up to the age of 3 who can sit up unaided. With the exception of special highchairs for medical purposes, this standard applies to children's highchairs for indoor and outdoor use.
If a child highchair needs or can be converted to other functions, additional European Standards may apply.
This standard covers the safety requirements of high chairs designed for children between the ages of 6 months and 36 months. If the product can be converted to an existing product of an EN safety standard, the product must also meet the requirements of that standard.
