EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of EN 1015-12 standard. This European standard specifies a method for determining the bond strength between plaster and plaster mortars and a substrate.
Adhesion strength is determined as the maximum tensile stress exerted on a substrate by a direct load perpendicular to the surface of the plaster or plaster mortar.
The tensile load is applied via a defined tension head plate affixed to the test area of the mortar surface. The bond strength achieved is the ratio between the failure load and the test area.
Fresh mortar for this test shall have a volume of at least 1,5 l or at least 1,5 times the volume required to carry out the test, whichever is greater, or shall be obtained by reducing the bulk test sample.
