EN 1765 Rubber Hose Kits for Oil Suction and Drain Services - Specifications for Assemblies

EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of EN 1765 standard. This standard specifies the characteristics of four types of oil suction and discharge hose assemblies used for the transport of petroleum, including crude oils and other liquid petroleum products containing a maximum of 50% (v/v) aromatic content.

Not suitable for liquefied petroleum gas and natural gas. Hose assemblies in this standard can be used in the temperature range of -20 °C to 82 °C. Specified hoses range from 50 to 500 nominal inside diameters and can be plain bore, coarse bore or armored rough bore.

Hoses used with petroleum products with an aromatic content of more than 50% are outside the scope of this document, but the requirements for such hoses can be used as a basis at the request of the manufacturer.

Specific details of the construction of the hoses are not rigidly defined in this document, as this was considered to limit the introduction of advanced construction methods.

Hose assemblies are rated and specified for service pressure, which includes a margin for excess pressure and is equal to the factory test pressure.
