IEC 60893-2 Standard Test for Insulating Materials, Industrial Rigid Laminated Boards Based on Thermosetting Resins for Electrical Purposes

This part of IEC 60893 is one of a set of standards for rigid industrial laminates in sheets based on thermosetting resins for electrical purposes.

Any method that allows the laminate sheet to be measured at an appropriate number of points may be used, provided the equipment used and the method of measurement allow an accuracy of 0,01 mm or better.

Unless otherwise specified, each sample will be tested at the conditioning atmosphere and at the conditioning temperature, or testing will begin within 3 minutes of removal of each test sample from the conditioning atmosphere.

When high temperature testing is required on one of the specification sheets of IEC 60893-3, the test specimens should be conditioned for 1 hour at this high temperature immediately prior to testing.

Any method that allows the thickness of the laminated board to be measured at an appropriate number of points may be used, provided that the equipment used and the measurement method have an accuracy of 0,01 mm or better.
