SDI 113 Standard Practice for Determining Steady-State Thermal Transmittance of Steel Door and Frame Assemblies

EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of SDI 113 test standard. This standard specifies a minimum standard and a test method for the thermal effectiveness of steel door and frame assemblies under conditions that can reasonably be considered normal site applications and conditions.

SDI 113 Standard Practice for Determining Steady-State Thermal Transmittance of Steel Door and Frame Assemblies

The purpose of this application is to establish a standardized test specimen size, test conditions, and a rating system to determine the thermal transmittance of operable steel door and frame assemblies.

The test specimens shall consist of the door, frame, airtight stripping system, glass (if applicable) and hardware and shall be fully operational before the assembly is sealed.

Single doors and pairs of doors will be tested as nominal openings 3'0" (914mm) wide x 7'0" (2134mm) high and 6'0" (1828mm) wide x 7'0" (2134mm) high, respectively.
