This standard is prepared for on-site inspections. It can be used for on-site inspections when no evidence of material damage or improper installation is found.

Manufacturers no longer order sheets and coils to a specific gauge, but instead by a minimum decimal thickness. This thickness is the lowest of the range for a given gauge. The steel supplier is therefore allowed to exceed the specified decimal thickness, but not less than that.

The door is laid on a suitable, flat fixture or surface without any warping, arcing or twisting. At the four corners of the door, support blocks of the same height will be placed between the armature and the door face. Any deviation between the surface and the support blocks will not allow the 0,0625˝ bar or block to pass.
