This standard applies to the measurement of resistance to bending in the range of 20 mN to 10 000 mN, but drops down to about 2 mN on some devices.
It does not apply to corrugated boards, but can be applied to components of such boards. The method is based on the beam principle and can only be applied to instruments using a bending angle of 7,5° or 15°.
A measurement in grams of the force required to deflect a piece of test board at an angle of 5° when applied at a bend length of 15 cm from the fixed end.
