EN 755-2 Aluminum and Aluminum Alloys - Extruded Bar - Rod, Tube and Profiles - Part 2: Mechanical Properties

The technical conditions for inspection and delivery, including product and test requirements, are specified in EN 755-1. Temper definitions are defined in EN 515. Chemical composition limits for these materials are given in EN 573-3.

Mechanical properties refer to test pieces taken in the longitudinal direction. The mechanical properties of test pieces taken in other directions may differ from those for the longitudinal direction specified in this standard.

For certain products the supplier (unless otherwise stated in the order documents) may choose to use the elongation based on A 50 mm. The value A 50 mm is the elongation measured over a gauge length of 50 mm and expressed as a percentage.
