This standard specifies a method for determining the resistance of the color of textiles of all types and shapes to the action of ozone in the atmosphere, both at ambient room temperatures with a relative humidity not exceeding 65% and at high temperatures with a relative humidity of more than 80%.
A sample and a test-control fabric sample are simultaneously exposed to ozone in an atmosphere at ambient room temperature and at a relative humidity not exceeding 65% until the test control shows a color change corresponding to a fading standard.
This exposure time creates a cycle. Cycles are repeated until the sample shows a definite color change or a predetermined number of cycles.
