EN ISO 13936 Textiles - Determination of Slip Resistance of Threads in a Stitch in Woven Fabrics

EUROLAB, with its state-of-the-art accredited laboratories and expert team, provides precise and fast testing services within the scope of EN ISO 13936 testing. This part of EN ISO 13936 is designed to determine the resistance offered by thread systems of woven fabric to shear in a sewn seam.

EN ISO 13936 Textiles - Determination of Slip Resistance of Threads in a Stitch in Woven Fabrics

A seamless and welded part of a test specimen is elongated separately using a tensile testing machine equipped with grip test jaws to produce two force/elongation curves originating from the same abscissa if a chart recorder is used.

Determine the force required to create a certain distance between the curves equivalent to a given seam opening.

The tensile testing machine shall be equipped with means to indicate or record the force applied during the extension of the test specimen. Under the conditions of use, the accuracy of the apparatus should be class 7500 of ISO 1-1.

The error of the maximum force displayed or recorded at any point in the range in which the machine is used must not exceed the error of the specified registered jaw separation ± 1 mm.
