This document cannot be used for plastics containing fluorescent materials.
This document applies to transparent molding materials, films and sheets not exceeding 10 mm thick. Total light transmittance can also be determined with a single beam instrument as in ISO 13468-1.
Substantially colorless plastics include pale colored ones. Samples thicker than 10 mm can be measured, provided the instrument can accommodate them, but results cannot be compared to those obtained using samples less than 10 mm thick.
