This standard specifies safety, construction and performance requirements for automatic burner control systems, programming units and flame detector devices intended for similar uses with gas and fuel oil burners and gas and liquid fuel burners, with or without fans.
These devices will be referred to hereinafter as "automatic burner control systems".
This European Standard is applicable to automatic burner control systems with additional functions.
This European Standard does not cover automatic burner control systems using thermo-electric flame monitoring devices.
European Standards for burners, appliances or processes using automatic burner control systems, programming units or flame detectors may override the requirements of this standard. Provisions on production control are not part of this European Standard.
