EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of EN ISO 16000-10 standard. EN ISO 16000-10 specifies a general laboratory test method for determining the site-specific emission rate of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from newly manufactured building products or flooring under defined climatic conditions.

The method can also in principle be applied to obsolete products. The resulting emission data can be used to calculate concentrations in a model room.

According to the definition of the emission test cell, it is also possible to perform non-destructive emission measurements on building products in buildings. However, the procedure for such measurements is not described in EN ISO 16000-10. An example of an emission test cell is described.

EN ISO 16000-10 also applies to wood-based panels and other building products to determine the formaldehyde emission rate.
