EN ISO 20126 Dentistry - Manual Toothbrushes - General Test Methods

This International Standard does not apply to manual interdental brushes and electric oral hygiene devices as these tools are covered by separate International Standards.

This standard does not apply to manual single-pinch toothbrushes, disposable, interdental and electrical oral hygiene devices. Such oral hygiene products are evaluated for their safety in use by appropriate testing methods or clinical trials.

In addition, for filament end-rounding requirements, this document includes filaments that are very thin (less than 0,1°mm outside diameter) or without sharp edges (e.g. tapered, hairy, split-end, or spherical head) or non-synthetic filaments, end-rounding where it is not feasible or impossible to implement the procedure. These types of manual toothbrushes are evaluated for their safety in use by appropriate testing methods or appropriate clinical trials.
