It can be applied to any type of board (including corrugated and solid fiberboard) with burst strength in the range of 350 kPa to 5 500 kPa.
If paper or board is to be used to prepare a material with a higher burst strength such as corrugated board, it can also be applied to paper or board with a burst strength as low as 250 kPa. In such cases, measurements do not need to have the accuracy or precision specified for this method.
