Special atmospheres applicable to a particular test or material or simulating a particular climatic environment are not included in this International Standard.
The standard atmosphere is the preferred fixed atmosphere, in which the limit ranges for atmospheric pressure and air circulation rate are specified, as well as the specific air temperature and humidity values, the air does not contain any significant additional components and the atmosphere is not subject to any significant additional components.
Standard atmospheres correspond to average atmospheric conditions in laboratories and can be created in conditioning (controlled atmosphere) cabinets, chambers or chambers.
