EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of EN ISO 6134 standard. ISO 6134 specifies requirements for two types of hoses and hose assemblies, hose fittings made of rubber and metal, low pressure with a maximum working pressure of 6 bar and high pressure with a maximum working pressure of 18 bar.
Each type is divided into two classes with oil resistant or non oil resistant cover.
The vacuum caused by sealing the hose assembly at both ends can accelerate the "burst" or separation of the liner.
The hoses shall consist of a liner resistant to steam and hot water condensation and shall be of the same quality, non-porous, free of air holes, free from foreign deposits and other defects.
The cover will protect against mechanical damage and be resistant to heat, abrasion and environmental influences from weather and short-term chemical exposure. It should be drilled evenly around the perimeter and along the entire length of the hose to relieve any pressure built up between the plies and the cover.
No steam will leak from the hose wall during either exposure. After testing, the liner should not crack, blister or popcorn, and the cover should not crack or blister.
When installing fittings on this hose, the connecting wires should be positioned between the connector and the male part of the connector and fold into the hose hole extending into the hole for approximately one-third the length of the connector male part.
Type testing should be performed to provide evidence that the entire material structure and the requirements of this document are met by the manufacturing method and hose design. Type tests should be performed on the largest dimension of each design in the manufacturer's range at least every five years or whenever a change in manufacture, design or material occurs.
