EN ISO 9445-1 Continuous Cold Rolled Stainless Steel - Size and Form Tolerances - Part 1: Narrow Strip and Cut Lengths

Developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), this part of the EN ISO 9445 standard specifies the tolerances for size and form for continuous cold-rolled stainless steel narrow strip with thicknesses up to (inclusive) 3 mm and rolling widths less than 600 mm. It also applies to cut lengths from such strips.

Narrow strips produced by the wide strip slitting method and cut lengths less than 600 mm wide are covered by ISO 9445-2. It will be the buyer's responsibility to specify all the requirements for products covered by this specification. Eyelash
Such requirements to be considered include, in the order listed, but are not limited to:

• Type of delivery
• The number of this International standard i.e. ISO 9445-1
• Thickness in millimeters
• Width in millimeters and, if necessary, the corresponding code letter for thin or precision
• Code letter R where a limited tolerance on edge camber is required
• Length in millimeters for cut lengths and code letter S if a special tolerance is required
• For cut lengths, code letters FS where a special tolerance for flatness is required
• Any special requirements for edge condition

Cut lengths from cold rolled narrow strip and cold rolled narrow strip are usually supplied with cut edges. These products will have burrs caused by cutting. If there are special requirements for these edges, relevant agreements will be made upon order. In this case, the strip is considered to be cut almost burr-free if the burr height is less than 10% of the product thickness.

By special agreement and depending on the supplier's technical equipment, cut lengths from cold rolled narrow strip and cold rolled narrow strip can be delivered with special edges such as deburred or rounded edges.
