EN ISO 9445-2 Continuous Cold Rolled Stainless Steel - Size and Form Tolerances - Part 2: Wide Strip and Plate

Developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), this part of the EN ISO 9445 standard sets tolerances for size and form for continuous cold-rolled stainless steel wide strip and sheet/plate in thicknesses from 0,30 mm to 8,0 mm and rolling widths from 600 mm to 2 100 mm. specifies.

It also applies to cold rolled wide strips less than 600 mm wide produced by longitudinal slitting from wide strip and to cut lengths made from such strips.

It will be the buyer's responsibility to specify all the requirements for products covered by this specification. Such requirements for consideration are, in the order listed, but not limited to
include the following:

• Type of delivery
• The number of this International standard i.e. ISO 9445-2
• Including the thickness in millimeters (accurate to two decimal places if necessary) and the corresponding code letter (S) for a special tolerance if required
• Measurement of the thickness method to be used, method A and the corresponding code letter (A)
• Width in millimeters and if necessary including the corresponding code letter (S) for a special tolerance
• For cold rolled wide strip and plate, either rolled (M) or cut (T) edges
• Length in millimeters for sheet and cut lengths and code if a special tolerance is required
• Code letter FS for cold rolled sheet/plate and cut lengths where a special tolerance is required

Sheet/plate cut from cold rolled wide strip and cold rolled wide strip are supplied with either milled (M) or cut (T) edges. Cut lengths from slit cold rolled wide strip and slit cold rolled wide strip normally have cut edges.
