This standard specifies a method for determining the adhesion and cohesion properties of hot-applied joint sealant samples following cyclic extensions. The test simulates annual joint movements caused by temperature changes.
The cohesive properties of a sealant are examined to verify its ability to adhere to concrete when subjected to repeated extension cycles at the appropriate test temperature defined in EN 14188-1.
Estimates of the reproducibility and reproducibility of this test method and variation from sampling are not yet available, but will be included by modification as they become known.
