Developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), this part of the ISO 527 standard specifies test conditions for determining the tensile properties of molding and extrusion plastics, based on the general principles given in ISO 527‑1.
The methods are selectively suitable for use with the following range of materials:
The methods are not normally suitable for use with solid cellular materials or sandwich structures containing cellular material. The methods are not suitable for flexible films and sheets less than 1 mm thick.
The methods are applied using samples that can be molded to selected dimensions or machined, cut or punched from injection or compression molded plates. A multi-purpose test sample is preferred.
ISO 527-2 is performed on a universal testing machine by applying a tensile force to a sample (sample) and measuring various properties of the sample material under stress. The test is performed at tensile speeds ranging from 1 to 500 mm/min until sample fails (yields or breaks).
Among the services provided by our organization within the framework of material testing services, there are also ISO 527-2 standard tests. Do not hesitate to contact our laboratory EUROLAB for your testing and certification requests.
