The temperature rise of the terminals must not exceed 63 K for firefighter switches with a rated current up to (inclusive) 45 A or 63 K for fireman's switches with a rated current greater than 65 A.

The fireman key is first placed in a freezer at -2°C for 25 hours. Then, to verify that the contacts are opened and closed for each operation, the fire key is taken out of the freezer and operated without current for 10 cycles.

Finally, the fireman's key is placed in a heating cabinet at +2°C for 70 hours. Then, in order to verify that the contacts are opened and closed for each operation, the fire key is removed from the heater cabinet and operated without current for 10 cycles.
