A test sample with a specified profile length is placed in an oven at 150°C for 30 minutes and, after heating, is visually inspected for defects inside, outside and in the cross-section of the wall.
The standard will provide a detailed procedure for performing the test. This includes information on exposure time, heating method and criteria for evaluating the appearance of PVC profiles.
The standard will likely specify acceptable levels of change in appearance that PVC profiles may undergo after exposure to 150°C.
