The requirements contained herein are intended to reflect the electrical, mechanical and environmental properties specific to the HDI layer. IPC-6012 (rigid), IPC-6013 (flexible), IPC-6015 (MCM-L), or IPC-6018 (microwave).
This specification acknowledges that HDI layers or cards will be subject to changes in performance requirements based on end use. The acceptance criteria for HDI layers are organized into slash sheet categories reflecting these typical end-use applications. Users of this document should choose a slash category that most closely resembles their product and is encouraged to change it as needed.
