EUROLAB, with its state-of-the-art accredited laboratories and expert team, provides precise and fast testing services within the scope of EN 17163 testing. This standard describes two representative methods for the determination of the extractable amount of certain primary aromatic amines (PAA) in the water extract of paper, cardboard and pulp samples by MS/MS-sensed HPLC, differing fundamentally by mobile device selection.
Deviation from this standard, other methods can be applied if it can be shown that comparable results can be achieved. A validation should be done by each laboratory.
The method described in this standard should also be applicable to the determination of other primary aromatic amines (PAA). A validation should be made for every other analyte using this method by the laboratory.
The extractable amount of a primary aromatic amine (PAA) is expressed as mg PAA per liter of water extract. This method is suitable for the determination of PAA with a working range of about 0,001 mg/l to 0,020 mg/l water extract.
Deviation from this standard, other methods can be applied if it can be shown that comparable results can be achieved. A validation should be done by each laboratory.
