ISO 10282 specifies requirements for packaged sterile rubber gloves intended for use in surgical procedures to protect the patient and user from cross-contamination. Applies to disposable gloves that are worn once and thrown away. Not applicable to examination or procedure gloves. Smooth surface gloves and textured surface gloves cover part or all of the glove.
ISO 10282 is designed as a reference for the performance and safety of rubber surgical gloves. The safe and correct use and sterilization procedures of surgical gloves and subsequent transport, packaging and storage procedures are outside the scope of ISO 10282.
