ISO 105 Textiles - Color Fastness Tests

EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of ISO 105 standard. Fastness in textile; It is the color durability level of a textile product against external factors that it will be exposed to during use. In any case, the products with the highest color fastness value are described as "high fastness".

The fastness value of the fabric is measured in 2 different situations, wet and dry. Color fastness standards in textile are generally measured by the following tests; washing fastness, rubbing fastness, light fastness, sweat fastness, ironing fastness etc.

Whether the fabrics meet the color fastness standards is measured by fastness testers. International accreditation organizations have brought two types of standards, blue and gray scale, for fastness tests. The blue scale consists of an 2-digit gradation, while the gray scale consists of 8 digits.
