CEN TS 16637-2 Construction Products, Evaluation of the Release of Hazardous Substances, Part 2: Horizontal Dynamic Surface Leaching Test Standard

EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of CEN TS 16637-2 standard. This technical specification specifies a dynamic surface penetration test (DSLT) that aims to determine the release per unit surface area as a function of time of inorganic or non-volatile organic matter from a monolithic, plate or plate.

This test is a parameter-specific test that focuses on identifying and identifying properties specific to the parameter being tested under certain conditions. It is not intended to simulate real situations. The application of results to specific intended use conditions can be determined through modelling.

Metals, metallic coatings and organic coatings on metals are outside the scope of CEN/TS 16637-2 as these products do not comply with the principles of this test (diffusion). Guidance on the need to test these products is under evaluation.
