The ISO 14582 standard developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), hex socket countersunk head with high head (full loadability), product class and thread diameters M3 to M10 and M10 and feature classes 4.8, 8.8 and 10.9 specifies bolts and screws.
This International Standard also specifies gauge dimensions for the control of head dimensions. Compared with the ISO common countersunk head, the height of the head is slightly increased to have screws with full loadability, in accordance with the mechanical properties specified in ISO 898-1.
Due to the increased head height, these screws are not fully interchangeable with other counter water ISO metric screws. Assembled parts also need a slightly deeper countercheck than those specified in ISO 15065.
In special cases, if specifications other than those listed in this International Standard are required, they can be selected from existing International Standards such as ISO 261, ISO 888, ISO 898-1, ISO 965-2 and ISO 4759-1.
