EN 12602 Standard Test Method for Precast Reinforced Components of Autoclaved Aerated Concrete

Structural elements:

• Non-bearing wall components (partition walls);
• Cladding components (without fixtures) intended for use on the exterior of buildings;
• Small box culverts used to create channels for enclosing services;
• Components for noise barriers.

The components covered by this standard are only intended to be subjected to predominantly non-dynamic effects, unless special precautions are introduced in the relevant clauses of this European standard.

National regulations on dangerous substances may require verification and declaration of release and sometimes content when the building materials covered by this standard are supplied to these markets. In the absence of European harmonized test methods, verification and declaration regarding release/content should be made taking into account national provisions at the place of use.

Test samples should be homogeneous. Specimen dimensions and requirements for flatness will depend on the size of the apparatus used and the thermal conductivity of the material. Test samples should not contain reinforcement.
