EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of EN 197-1 standard. This European standard defines and gives 27 different common cements, 7 sulfate resistant common cements, as well as 3 different low early strength blast furnace cements and 2 sulfate resistant low early strength blast furnace cements and their components.
The definition of each cement includes the proportions in which the components will be combined to produce these different products in a range of nine strength classes. The definition also includes the requirements that the components must meet.
It also includes mechanical, physical and chemical requirements. In addition, this standard specifies the eligibility criteria and relevant rules. Required durability requirements are also given.
In addition to the sulfate-resistant cements defined in this standard, other cements conforming to this standard or other European or national standards have been nationally proven to have sulfate-resistant properties.
In addition to the stated requirements, it may be useful to exchange additional information between the cement manufacturer and the user. Procedures for such an exchange are not covered by this standard, but should be handled in accordance with national standards or regulations or may be agreed upon between the parties involved.
