ISO 14644-3 Test Methods for Clean Rooms and Related Controlled Environments

This standard provides test methods to support operation for cleanrooms and clean zones to meet air cleanliness classification, other cleaning specifications, and related controlled conditions. Performance tests are specified for two types of cleanroom and clean zone. It applies to those with unidirectional airflow and those with non-unidirectional airflow, built, stationary and operational in three possible occupancy states.

Test methods, recommended test equipment and test procedures are provided for determining performance parameters. Where the test method is affected by the type of clean room or clean zone, alternative procedures are recommended.

For some tests, several different methods and apparatuses are recommended to accommodate different end-use considerations. Alternative methods not included in this standard can be used by agreement between the customer and the supplier. Alternative methods do not necessarily provide equivalent measurements.

This standard does not apply to the measurement of products or processes in clean rooms, clean zones or separating devices.
