ISO 14644-8 Clean Rooms and Related Controlled Environments - Classification of Air Cleanliness by Chemical Concentration (ACC)

ISO 14644-8 specifies the classification of airborne chemical cleanliness (ACC) in cleanrooms and related controlled environments in terms of airborne concentrations of certain chemicals (individual, group or category) and time-weighted factors within the test methods, analysis and classification specification.

ISO 14644-8 currently only considers air chemical pollutant concentrations between 10 0 and 10 −12 g/m3 under cleanroom operating conditions.

ISO 14644-8 does not relate to applications in industries, processes or productions where the presence of chemicals in the air is not considered a risk to the product or process. It is not the purpose of ISO 14644-8 to explain the nature of chemical pollutants in the air. ISO 14644-8 does not give a classification for surface chemical contamination.
