EN ISO 1716 Tests for Response to Fire for Products, Determination of Gross Heat of Combustion (Calorific Value)

EUROLAB, with its state-of-the-art accredited laboratories and expert team, provides precise and fast testing services within the scope of EN ISO 1716 testing. This standard specifies a method for determining the gross heat of combustion (QPCS) of fixed volume products in a bomb calorimeter.

EN ISO 1716 Tests for Response to Fire for Products, Determination of Gross Heat of Combustion (Calorific Value)

In this test, a test sample of a given mass is burned in a calibrated bomb calorimeter by burning certified benzoic acid under standard conditions, at a constant volume, in an oxygen atmosphere.

The heat of combustion determined under these conditions is calculated on the basis of the observed temperature rise, taking into account the heat loss and the latent heat of evaporation of water.

This is a test method for determining the absolute value of the heat of combustion for a product and does not take into account the inherent variability of the product.

EUROLAB assists manufacturers with EN ISO 1716 test compliance. Our test experts, with their professional working mission and principles, provide you, our manufacturers and suppliers, the best service and controlled testing process in our laboratories. Thanks to these services, businesses receive more effective, high-performance and quality testing services and provide safe, fast and uninterrupted service to their customers.
