Test Procedures and Acceptance Criteria for Acoustic Performance for SDI 114 Steel Door and Frame

EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of SDI 114 test standard. This standard specifies a minimum standard and a test method for the thermal effectiveness of steel door and frame assemblies under conditions that can reasonably be considered normal site applications and conditions.

Manufacturers no longer order sheets and coils to a specific gauge, but instead by a minimum decimal thickness. This thickness is the lowest of the range for a given gauge. The steel supplier is therefore allowed to exceed the specified decimal thickness, but not less than that.

The door is laid on a suitable, flat fixture or surface without any warping, arcing or twisting. At the four corners of the door, support blocks of the same height will be placed between the armature and the door face. Any deviation between the surface and the support blocks will not allow the 0,0625˝ bar or block to pass.
