ISO 638 is used to determine the moisture content of a sample when the dry matter content is required to calculate the result of a chemical analysis or physical test, and instead of determining the moisture content of a sample. For example, the dry matter content is required to express the content of elements such as cadmium and manganese relative to the kiln-dry mass.
This document is used to determine the average mois content of a lot and the variation in mois content (maximum and candle values at maximum and maximum values).
