ISO 16000-2 Sampling Strategy Test Standard for Indoor Air Formaldehyde

The ISO 16000-2 standard, developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), describes key considerations when working on a sampling strategy for formaldehyde analysis in indoor air. In this International Standard, the term "formaldehyde" is used instead of the term "methanal" as specified in the IUPAC regulations.

It is intended to be a link between Part 16000 of ISO 1, which describes a measurement strategy, and Parts 16000 and 3 of ISO 4, which describe analytical procedures for active or diffused formaldehyde sampling, respectively. This part of ISO 16000 requires knowledge of ISO 16000 Part 1.

The ISO 16000 standard has been prepared to assist in the planning of formaldehyde indoor pollution measurements. In the case of indoor air measurements, careful planning of sampling and the entire measurement strategy is particularly important because the result of the measurement, for example the need for corrective action or the success of such action, is the main focus of the standard.

Among the services provided by our organization within the framework of indoor testing services, there are also ISO 16000-2 standard tests.
