Accelerated testing is suitable as a quality control test of colored anodic oxidation coatings for which the light fastness number has already been determined through outdoor exposure testing.
The method is applicable to colored anodic oxidation coatings on aluminum and its alloys produced for any purpose and by any means.
However, the method is not suitable for the measurement of colored coatings that have a light fastness number less than 6 that have already been determined through outdoor exposure testing.
