It can also be applied to PVC-based profiles at specified temperatures/other test conditions.

A test sample with a certain profile length is placed in an oven at 1°C for 100 hour. The marked length of this test sample is measured under the same conditions before and after heating in the oven. Heat recovery is calculated as the percentage change of the final length relative to the initial length per cue pair.

The standard shall provide a detailed procedure for determining heat reversal. This involves exposing PVC profiles to a specific temperature for a specific period of time and then assessing the extent to which the material rebounds or undergoes dimensional changes upon cooling.

The standard will specify acceptable heat recovery levels for PVC profiles and ensure that the material maintains its intended properties and dimensions under specified thermal conditions.
