ISO 22674 classifies and specifies requirements for metallic materials suitable for the manufacture of dental restorations and devices, including metallic materials recommended for use with or without a ceramic coating, or recommended for both uses.
It also specifies requirements for packaging and marking of products and instructions to be provided for the use of these materials, including products delivered for sale to a third party.
ISO 22674 does not apply to alloys (e.g. wires, brackets, tapes and screws) for dental amalgam (ISO 24234), dental brazing materials (ISO 9333), or metallic materials for orthodontic appliances (ISO 15841).
