Test Samples If a statistically sound assessment by a particular supplier can demonstrate that die-cut and etched samples differ, the preparation giving the lower measurement may be the only preparation tested. In case of dispute, die cut sample will be used as the arbitration method. Sample preparation will be the same as taken after brazing and after aging.
For double-coated laminate, a separate sample unit should be prepared and tested for each side. Appropriate backing material can be applied to the back side of the test specimen to prevent stretching of the peel specimens. The referee support material will be 0,25 mm [0,010 inch] glass epoxy material. Bonding during sample preparation should occur in conditions not exceeding 65.6 °C +0 °C/-9 °C [150 °F +0 °F/-16,2 °F] 1 hour cure @ 5171.5 torr [100 pounds/square inch] ] . In the event of a conflict, a supporter will be used to prevent tent pitching.
The metal foil on the untested side may remain to provide stability to prevent strain of the sample from the German Wheel.
