ISO 4287 Geometric Product Specifications (GPS) - Surface Texture - Profile Method - Terms, Definitions and Surface Texture Parameters

EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of ISO 4287 standard. This international standard specifies terms, definitions and parameters for the determination of surface texture by profiling methods.

ISO 4287 Geometric Product Specifications (GPS) - Surface Texture - Profile Method - Terms, Definitions and Surface Texture Parameters

This international standard is a geometric product specification (GPS) standard and should be considered a general GPS standard. Historically, the roughness profile and parameters have been the only well-defined parts of surface texture characterization.

The profile filter is the filter that separates the profiles into long wave and short wave components. There are three filters used in instruments to measure roughness, waviness, and primary profiles. All have the same transmission characteristics as defined in ISO 11562, but different cut-off wavelengths.

EUROLAB assists manufacturers with ISO 4287 test compliance. Our test experts, with their professional working mission and principles, provide you, our manufacturers and suppliers, the best service and controlled testing process in our laboratories. Thanks to these services, businesses receive more effective, high-performance and quality testing services and provide safe, fast and uninterrupted service to their customers.
