EN 15037-2 Precast Concrete Products - Standard Test for Concrete Blocks

EUROLAB, with its state-of-the-art accredited laboratories and expert team, provides precise and fast testing services within the scope of EN 15037-2 testing. This European Standard specifies the requirements and basic performance criteria for blocks made of normal or lightweight aggregate concrete, used with precast concrete beams conforming to EN 15037-1, with or without cast-in-situ concrete.

EN 15037-2 Precast Concrete Products - Standard Test for Concrete Blocks

This test is valid only for resistive and semi-resistive blocks used in combination with topless, self-supporting beams. Samples made to laboratory conditions and supported at both ends are subjected to a centrally applied continuous load to simulate conditions of use.

The delivered block lot will be uniquely identifiable and traceable with respect to the manufacturing location and data right up to assembly. To this end, the manufacturer must mark the products or delivery documents so that the relationship with the relevant quality records required in this European Standard can be assured. The manufacturer will keep these records for the required archiving period and make them available when necessary.

This sampling procedure will be used for initial type testing and where there is a requirement for assessment of product conformity through independent testing. Only properties declared by the manufacturer will be evaluated with this procedure.

Whenever possible, random sampling will be used where each block in the consignment has an equal chance of being selected for the sample. The appropriate number of blocks will be randomly selected from locations throughout the shipment regardless of the condition or quality of the selected ones, except that blocks damaged in transit are not selected.

The shipment will be divided into at least six real or imaginary parts, each of a similar size. An equal number of units will be randomly selected from each division to give the required number of units regardless of the quality of the selected ones, except that units damaged in transit are not selected.
