It covers textile glass woven fabrics consisting of single or plied yarns, rovings, textured yarns or combinations of these yarns with a thickness of 0,1 mm or more.

This method can be applied to fabrics woven from single or folded (ply) yarns (continuous filament textile glassware or staple fiber textile-glass products), rovings, textured yarns or combinations of these yarns.

The deadweight micrometer shall be flat to 0,001 mm and parallel to 0,003 mm, with two ground and overlapped circular surfaces. The faces must move on an axis perpendicular to them.

The frame of the micrometer must be rigid such that a forte of 15 N applied to the housing so that it does not come into contact with the presser foot will cause a deflection of the frame of no greater than 0 mm, as indicated on the micrometer.
