UL 207 UL Standard for Components and Accessories Containing Safety Refrigerants

EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services under the UL 207 test standard. These requirements cover components and accessories containing non-electrical refrigerant intended for field installation in accordance with the safety code for mechanical cooling, ASHRAE 15.

Covers accessories filled with refrigerants identified for use in refrigeration systems, air conditioning equipment, or both, component or accessory.

The requirements also apply to components and accessories intended for use by manufacturers in factory-assembled systems or units; in this case, the component or accessory is also considered as part of the individual system or unit requirements.

These requirements do not apply to:

• Electric valves and electric refrigeration controllers, hermetic refrigerant motor-compressors, and the like, covered by or as part of separate, individual requirements;
• The electrical components of the assemblies containing these components or accessories containing refrigerant, and;
• Pressure vessels bearing the ASME code “U” symbol within the scope of section VIII of the ASME boiler and pressure vessels act.
