EN 1504-5 Products and Systems for the Protection and Repair of Concrete Structures - Part 5: Concrete Injection Test Standard

This European Standard specifies requirements and conformity criteria for the identification, performance (including durability considerations) and safety of injection products for the repair and protection of concrete structures used for:

• Force-conducting filling of cracks, voids and crevices in concrete;
• Ductile filling of cracks, voids and gaps in concrete;
• Inflating filling of cracks, voids and crevices in concrete.

The performance requirements in this section of this document may not apply to extremely specific applications in extreme environmental conditions such as cryogenic use and do not cover special circumstances such as accidental impact from traffic or icing or earthquake loading, for example.

This European Standard does not cover:

• Healing cracks by widening and sealing with an elastomeric sealant;
• External filling of voids, that is, placing the product outside the structure; this is covered by EN 12715 under contact injection;
• Pre-injection works to temporarily stop the water passage if necessary during waterproofing grouting.
